Digital laboratory of dental prosthesis production

Digital X-ray diagnostics
Digital X-ray technologies are used to examine patients. Dental, panoramic X-ray and 3D cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) can be used for examination. This allows obtaining useful data using minimal exposure. The data stored on servers gives the opportunity to get acquainted with the patient’s situation for any member of the dentists’ team, in order to save costly patient’s time.
- Color detection technologies
One of the most challenging tasks in dentistry – color selection of dental restoration. To avoid human error and select color in most exact way spectrofotometer “Spectroshade” is used. This technology enables determine “color map”, translucent areas of tooth and other characteristics. These data are transferred to dental laboratory which produces esthetic dental restorations. For accurate color evaluation special lights are installed in operatory rooms and special digital photography techniques are used.
In different patients, dental implants take different time to osseointegrate (or to heal). The time depends on the quality of bone, physiology, the features of the dental implants and the surgical technique. In order to be 100 percent sure that the implant has finally healed and obtained necessary stability to receive the masticatory load (is ready to be restored with dental prosthesis) – dental implant stability meter ’Osstell’ is used. This testing is performed quickly, it is comfortable, and is applied in the cases when the prosthesis for dental implants must be made as soon as possible (e.g. immediate implantation and restoration).
The esthetic analysis of smile and face
We, dentists, assume a smile being nice when it looks esthetic, natural, healthy, and it seems that it have never been treated. In order to achieve the required result, a detailed analysis of patient’s face and smile is made. Dental and facial photos are used, which are loaded into a computer software for dental restoration fabrication (3shape). Using the software an experienced technician can simulate temporary and permanent prosthesis to meet your expectations and the clinical situation. To achieve comfortable and harmonious bite, face bows and articulators are used.
