Surgical Guides
Surgical Guides Implant placement with a surgical guide ensures a safer surgical procedure and a better prosthetic fit. Thanks to it, a temporary prosthesis is placed immediately after implantation. We use guided implantation in 90% of dental implant cases!
What are surgical guides, and how are they made?
Dental services sometimes require surgical procedures. To make them safer and more precise, reduce patient discomfort, and speed up healing, we use surgical guides at the ProDentum.
First, 3D images are obtained using CBCT (Cone Beam Computerized Tomography) and intraoral scanners. Face photos or 3D facial scans are taken as well. Once these images have been aligned, the patient’s digital “avatar” is created, where the surgical procedure is safely simulated.
The guide for implementing the procedure (implant placement, gingiva, and bone surgery) is printed in the modern Digitorum laboratory using a 3D printer.
Once the guide is in place, the instruments are guided through the planes and holes in the guide, and the procedure is carried out quickly, accurately, and without risk. After a surgical procedure, healing is faster, and there is almost no pain.
